Use a cooking check to record the core temperature of food as soon as it's cooked, so you have proof it reached a safe temperature.

## Steps

1. On the Home screen, tap the orange + button and choose Cooking. (You can also go to Manage > Temperature Checks > Cooking Checks and tap New Check.)

2. Enter the name of the dish in Food Item, e.g. "Beef Chilli".

3. Check the Started time is correct — it defaults to the current time.

4. Use the number pad to enter the Core temperature of food in °C, e.g. 78.

5. Add any Additional information or comments if needed — this is optional.

6. Tap Submit Temperature Check.

## Tips

Cook food to at least 75°C (or 70°C for 2 minutes) to make sure it's safe. If the temperature is too low, keep cooking and check again before serving.

Always take the reading in the thickest part of the food for an accurate reading.

If a reading falls outside the safe range, the app will flag it — don't ignore this. Keep cooking the item and re-check, and let a manager know if it keeps failing.

You can review everything you've logged today under Manage > Records > Past Records.
